What Are Panola County Arrest Records?

Arrest records provide official information about persons who were arrested within the territory in connection with a suspected offense. These records describe the circumstances surrounding the arrest from the nature of the alleged crime to the interrogation and criminal charges. Details contained in these records include:

  • The subject’s identity like full name, nationality, gender, date of birth, and so on
  • Alleged misdemeanors, felonies, or other violations
  • The date, location, and description of the arrest
  • The names of the issuer of warrants and the arresting officer
  • The future court date, pending/current status, or charge disposition
  • Victim information (not always)

The Panola County Sheriff’s Office manages these records and processes requests made by residents in the territory. Additionally, individuals should note that arrest records are not synonymous with guilty sentences as conviction reports are excluded from documents, and not all arrested persons get charged.

Crime Statistics

According to the UCR statistics and crime data provided by the Federal Bureau of Investigations, Panola County had 1,272 reported offenses in 2017, broken down into 142 violent crimes and 1,030 property crimes.
